Generally speaking, we're pretty confident about how things will go with Moose and the baby. He's just a really mild-mannered, low-maintenance dog who sleeps 23 hours a day. He likes playing with kids and sniffing babies. Moose doesn't really bark that often, but I read that babies get used to those loud sounds if they hear them in the womb, so I'll let you know if that's true or not.
The problem lies in his drawn-out escapades. He really hates c-a-t-s and deer and other unexpected creatures (mailmen, oil trucks) that trespass on his property. Last night I was sitting at the table minding my own business when Moose spotted a cat that had plopped itself down outside the window and he went bondoogles. I'll let you see for yourself. . .
Definitely not the most pleasant sound in the world. It can be pretty scary if you're not expecting it, but it's pretty short lived. We can't let him outside or he'd be gone in an instant, so he has to get it out by tearing around the house and rumpling my rugs. Just thought I'd share that on this Thursday morning.

Maddie is watching this again and again with her hands over her ears.
I found your blog after reading some comments on Jones Design Company blog, (the english bulldog post!) We have a english bulldog too, and love reading about Moose! That's actually one of the many nicknames we have for our boy Boomer! Boomer will go banana's over crazy stuff too, we call it getting on his horse becuase he will tick his hieny in and run rampid around the house!
Good luck on your C-Section! I hope everything goes very smoothly!

Lord! Could I have missed typed more! He tucks his hiney under him!
I'm not sure baby Javon Yezerski and Moose will get along very well. Maybe you should just FedEx ol Moosey boy down to Houston and I'll take care of him. Just a thought!
I think I may need to show this to Jeremy since he;s been begging for an English Bulldog. :) Chaunci is outside right now crying too... but hers is a little higher pitched and not quite as.... strange? :)
