Well, I'd like to say I've grown up a bit. Rather than crying, I actually kill spiders on my own. And sometimes I see them and don't kill them. But I've decided to stop that practice since one of the ladies I work with was bitten in her sleep . . . resulting in a very swollen finger and a couple trips to the hospital. No, thank you.
The following are photos taken in the last moments of these little arachnids' lives. Perhaps that is a bit morbid, but I have this great camera and sometimes I think, Is that thing really inside my house? And I feel the need to share that for REAL? moment with others.
Enjoy.

that is so gross, erica! hahaha! still: compare them to my mom's house. have you ever seen those wolf spiders? ugh.
ummmmm.....yeah, you conveniently forgot to include any kind of scale for your arachnids. i know your camera has some crazy kind of zoom, how are we to know the true size of these guys?
Nice pics. Thanks for making me lose my appetite for some yummy Starbucks. I think you did that on purpose. ;) But I'm glad you're a little twisted and so you took those pre-death photos of the spiders for our western viewing pleasure!
So never mind. I'm not going. I will just pass the list of stuff you want to Mom and call you when the rest of the family is there. haha. but for real? not the way to prepare me for the trip..
E, I agree that you don't really make people want to visit you with these pics. I'm pretty sure that even though I lived in a mud hut last year with scorpions, these pictures make me change my mind about visiting you too. tis a shame-- all those M&Ms given to Carolyn... ;)
so gross! I did not need to see that. I have only seen one....(so far) here and it was outside our front door. The size of Cam's palm.....YUCK!
You are becoming quite the photographer though....I would however not even give the little guys that long to live before I smashed them!
that's gross erica!
i seriously thought that and went to leave a note and saw amy said the exact same thing.
miss you girl--hope you have fun with your family over christmas!
i told craig this morning that i'm jealous of your living in kijabe... then i saw these pictures of spiders =)
