Sometimes I get a little bogged down by the every-day, in-and-out, get-this-done. I get distracted by the dust or the diapers or the rain, and I forget to be thankful for this house, a growing baby boy, and to thank God that at least it isn't snow.
In the last few days, two couples in our small group have heard back that the husbands got the job. We've been praying for almost a year for them, and God answered with a wait, wait, wait, wait, YES! And for both couples, it'll mean a move to a great location. They are so joyful and we are so happy for them, sad to see them go, but so honored to be witness to God's provision. It is obvious again that God loves to give good things.
And so, we share in their joy and remember that God has hemmed us in, and has us in the palm of His hand. And in five months when we're driving cross-country or settling into another rental house or waiting for paperwork to go through or business to pick up . . . I can look back on this day when I so clearly saw God's faithfulness and know He knows what is before and behind us, and it doesn't worry him at all.
