and . . . the wedding!

The wedding day! Unfortunately I have no pictures of the caravan of black cars decorated with blue ribbons, honking their way from Kijabe to Limuru. It was such a beautiful wedding in the garden of the tea farm. It was a perfect blend of Kenyan and American traditions, with scripture readings in English and Swahili, some traditional dancing and songs, and a really great lunch. The weather was perfect and the monkeys stayed away.

dexter, jenna, and the "best maid" evelyn

the traditional 'dancing up' of the bride was switched to later in the ceremony, where the bride and groom were danced up to the reception after taking picutres

our good friends: evelyn the best maid and her husband frances, who mc'd the event.

and . . . taking advantage of a lovely location for another photo shoot.
nothing like going to a wedding 2 days after getting engaged. :)
