Long-n-Hot

I climbed Mt. Longonot on Saturday! It was quite fun, and really not long-and-hot, I just think that’s witty. :)

Modestly dressed hikers looking to catch a matatu in Kijabe.

Longonot from the road down the escarpment.

Our rusted-out matatu couldn't make it down the road with us in it, so we had to walk a bit.

On our way up!

View of Lake Naivasha from the top

Longonot is a dormant volcano and at the top is this awesome crater.

Enjoying lunch under the thorn tree.

Looks awesome and fun! Also, I know what you mean about really being driven to prayer when you're out in the "wilderness." It's what got me to Sudan in the first place and it's what kept me there. Peace sista.

you are becoming quite the photographer there with your new camera.....The hike looked beautiful...I am still longing to get out of the city for a bit...not sure when that will be!
We head to Hong Kong this week though for Thanksgiving...that should be interesting! I think your break is coming up...so much fun! Still hoping to connect with you more than just comments on a blog! Praying for you as you continue to learn about and be driven to prayer! Hope the culture stress phases are going well for you and that you are staying on the upward slope! You still look quite happy there! Cam and I have started to see the darker side on days... Thank goodness for a LORD who is Sovereign over all!
